Once Upon A Time 5x07 Nimue Review

Sorry for the late review again! I've had rehearsals this week!
This week we saw a Merlin centric which was interesting. Good to see some more of his back story. Other than the mistake in the time stamp (confirmed by Adam on Twitter that it was supposed to be 500 not 200), I think this episode was pretty good. I've always been intrigued by the Dark One and the origins so I'm glad to see them building more and more on that each season.
Now, I don't know about you guys but back in the episode where Merlin said the woman he loved was taken by the Dark One, I guessed that she was going to be the Dark One (I actually think it's pretty cool that the first Dark One was a woman). So since we're on the topic of Nimue (and the episode title is her name too), I did think her and Merlin were pretty cute together (that's the shipper in me talking!). I thought she was gonna be weird when she was talking about revenge but then she just wanted some flowers to grow. So it seemed like she was nice. I knew she was going to drink out of the Grail and that would turn her into the Dark One. I don't know if we were supposed to be surprised by any of that at all and if we were, then I think they did a pretty bad job of that. But I loved her transformation into the Dark One. I'm not sure how killing one person makes you dark though. Like this guy literally killed her whole village and set it on fire. How is killing him so awful? It's a life for a thousand lives. I don't really get where they're going with the whole killing people makes you bad thing. Especially because Snow and Charming have killed people (Charming killed a guy like a few episodes ago for crying out loud!) and they're still the main Heroes of this show. It feels like they're trying to make it very black and white with this is good and this is bad, but they're failing because there's always going to be grey areas. But anyway, Nimue as the Dark One was so cool (I'm kinda intrigued on how she died but I don't think we'll find that out). I loved that Emma has the ability to call on any previous Dark One, that's so interesting to me. And Nimue trying to convince her to kill Merlin and Emma, the wonderful back lash! Jennifer Morrison did an awesome job at that scene. Emma shouting down Nimue and choosing not to kill Merlin was so great. Also, I'm confused as to why Emma isn't green or sparkly. I thought at first it was because she hasn't killed anybody (because Nimue only turned green after she killed the Vortican guy) but then Rumple was green and sparkly straight away so that doesn't make sense either. I wonder if there is an actual explanation (other than it taking way too long to do the make up maybe haha).
There were a couple of things I'm a bit meh about this episode. Firstly Zelena. Although I have to say her lines this episode were hilarious and she is kinda growing on me. Her betraying everyone. Not even remotely surprised by it. But I was hoping she was at least trying to be good for the baby. And Snow. I am so angry at Snow. I love Snow, I really do and I think she's great and a badass but why are they making her seem so stupid? This woman stole your baby not that long ago (timeline wise) why would you trust her at all?! I mean there was literally a scene where Snow was talking about keeping an eye on Zelena like 5 minutes ago within the episode and she still falls for it. I'm so annoyed that the writers are making her look dumb. But then again. It is the same woman who trusted Zelena in the first place. But anyway, I think Zelena and Arthur might make a good team. Maybe that's a new ship waiting to happen?! It was also cool to see Zelena using Merlin's magic. Merlin's magic seems very strong. He created Excalibur and then the Dark One dagger in the first place. It is interesting that he's potentially the most powerful person we've had on the show and yet, he got his powers from the Holy Grail. He didn't seem too bothered about his friend dying beside him at the beginning of the episode though and just carried onto drink. Top notch friend there! It was interesting that I seemed to get a God vibe off him (even though him and his friend did mention Gods too) but there seemed to be some sort of implication there.
But now Zelena used one of his spells on Excalibur so that Arthur could control Merlin. I'm not entirely sure why Merlin has that spell in his book in the first place. Unless it's just the same spell as the one he used to make the Dagger. But it is worrying that Merlin is under the control of our creepy guy of the season. I do have to wonder where he is in the present time. I hope he isn't dead (I don't think he will be).
Other than that, not much more to say about this episode. Pretty decent although I can't believe it's episode seven already! This season is pretty slow but there's still been a lot of cool things that have happened. I really liked the Dark One Convention in Emma's basement haha. I'm also intrigued to see what happens now that she's made Excalibur whole again and I'm still waiting on some answers from what else happened in Camelot, where Merlin is etc. So still a lot to look forward to this season!
And don't forget that this Sunday (if you're in the US) two episodes are airing back to back! (I'm assuming UK Netflix will upload them both on Wednesday but we'll see how that works)

Once Upon A Time 5x06 The Bear and the Bow Review

I know I missed a week of reviewing, but I was super busy last week with uni stuff which is why I didn't post anything. So quick thing about last week: I loved all the Neal mentions, Emma caring so much about Henry even as the Dark One and Emma using magic to get Merlin out of his tree. I disliked Emma taking Violet's heart (obviously) and I felt so bad for Henry.
Onto this week's episode though. I personally felt it was a weaker episode than last week, but still pretty decent. Merida is not exactly top of my Disney Princess list anyway, so her presence in the show is a bit meh for me personally (although I do think the actress is great). Also, are the writers just assuming that their whole audience has seen Brave? Because it certainly feels like they're throwing on things that people who haven't seen the movie would not understand. (The bear thing for a start and also the witches house). But maybe that's just me being pedantic.
Anyway, I really liked Belle this episode. She's usually a little in the background for a regular so it was nice to see her doing stuff again! I love her line 'I'm glad you noticed' when Merlin said she was clever. It is true that the people of Storybrooke take Belle for granted a little. I'm a bit annoyed that Merida attacked her in Camelot. Why does Belle need to be hit every season? But no, she was great. I'm glad she stood up for herself and walked away from Rumple. I'm also glad she's not immediately saying that she loves him and going straight back to him. Yes, she hugged him and had some cute lines towards him, but I feel like she is justified in not being Rumple's biggest fan and I'm glad she's acting that way.
Another person I enjoyed this episode, strangely enough was Zelena. Now, I'm sure I've made my opinion on Zelena clear, but I'm not her biggest fan (and I'm so angry that she brought up killing Neal and Emma didn't even react) but I thought she was pretty funny in this episode. Rebecca Mader is great and although I don't like the character, she had some witty lines and I'm actually glad she didn't immediately team up with Emma since that would be the obvious thing for her to do. Feeding her green food though was genuinely hilarious; I'll give Regina that one.
I'm really happy that everyone in Storybrooke has found out about Arthur being shady. They dragged it out five episodes, so it's good that they know now. I laughed at the 'Merlin's voicemail' line. Another point to Regina. Merlin is a strange one too. I like him at the moment but I'm wary. His magic is the strongest we've ever seen by the looks of things. His explanation of how he appeared to Emma as a child was weak though.
It was nice to see Henry, albeit very briefly, this episode and how him being the Author still grants him 'power' (I use that term loosely) despite him breaking the pen. I'm glad he hasn't given up on Emma. She needs him now more than ever.
Which brings me to my last point of Emma. I do love her as the Dark One (I know there's been a bit of a debate about that in the fandom, but I do actually enjoy the whole Dark Swan thing). I am genuinely curious what she did to Merlin considering he seems to be very powerful. Although a Dark One did trap him in the tree so I do have to wonder if his magic and the Dark One magic are equally matched. As much as I'm not really a fan of Merida, glad that Emma didn't kill her (although I'm not sure the writers would be allowed to kill her off to be honest).
Overall this episode was pretty decent. The CGI on the bear wasn't completely terrible (I'm used to not great CGI on this show though) which was nice. Interesting things, questions raised, but a bit too much Merida for me. I would really like the focus to be on our main cast of characters and not all the new ones but still, excited to see more Dark Swan next week!

Once Upon A Time 5x04 'The Broken Kingdom' Review

So I was a bit late in watching the episode this week as I was super busy but I still managed to avoid spoilers! The only thing I saw was the word sand which was so vague that I didn't think much of it (of course, I know now that there was much more to it.) This episode was a strange one as this season seems to be going but it was definitely another interesting one.
Firstly can I just say that the casting department are seriously amazing. Young Arthur and Guinevere were legit doubles of their adult selves and super cute.
Talking of Arthur... An Arthur centric. Obviously I'm not a big fan of his after the last couple of episodes but this episode really made me dislike him even more. I get that he wants to fix his kingdom and be a great King, but his obsession with finding the dagger went too far. Guinevere was even sick of him!
I quite like Guinevere actually which I didn't think I would but obviously the way she is now is due to the sand (I'll get back to that later). I thought her and Lancelot were really cute together and him saying he will always love her was so cute. I'm a shipper at heart so that was a nice shippy moment for me!
A couple of things I don't quite understand. The vault of the Dark One appears to be in Camelot now? Or at least very close. Has it moved since we last saw it? It does look like a different location. Also, I don't understand why before it had to be opened with a key and caused someone to trade a life for a life (I'm still upset over Neal okay) but now they just use a code to open it? Is there an explanation for that? Is it because they were awakening the Dark One before and now the Dark One is already awake so it doesn't affect them? I'm going to assume that's the case since it probably won't be explained. And one last thing that I didn't quite get. A door portal in the vault of the Dark One? Seriously? I mean I know it was only to a tiny location but it seems strange to me that Rumple would not think of finding someone who could create a door portal to a Land Without Magic if he knew that they existed. But hopping between worlds seems rather too easy these days considering poor Rumple had to wait a few hundred years to get Regina to cast the curse.
Some things I did like (because I do feel like I am being a tad negative here); mentioning things from previous seasons. The gauntlet coming back and how Rumple got that in his possession was nice to see. Also the fact that Snow recognised the place they went to hide the dagger as the same place she had her nightmare about Emma was pretty cool as well. Snow in general was great this episode. It was weirdly nice to see Snowing having a row for once (yay, they're a normal couple!) and then making up and being a badass team. David was being annoying at first but I'm glad he came to his senses.
But talking about Snowing, that brings me nicely to the whole magic sand situation (I know it has an actual name but I like to refer to it as magic sand to make life easier). So Guinevere stayed with Arthur because he used it on her (this seasons creeper award goes to...) and Lancelot's face when she kissed Arthur just broke my heart (I do have to wonder how you break the effects of this sand). The kingdom of Camelot was repaired because of it. Snowing were under the influence in Camelot because of Guinevere. Does that mean they're still under the influence now they're in Storybrooke? Or does the memory loss cancel it out? Lots of questions there! They were being super creepy immediately after the sand was used on them though.
And lastly the ending of the episode. I'm not sure about Emma using Rumple to be 'brave' (haha very funny. Totally not corny there guys.) Surely just using Merida would work, no? Why does it have to be Rumple? And is Rumple in her head telling her this cause that's super meta if he is.
I'm sure I probably missed a few things (like Emma being overprotective of Henry having a crush even as the Dark One! Those Swan Believer feels hitting me hard) but I enjoyed this episode more than I thought I would for it being an Arthur centric. I look forward to some answers about the sand and seeing what else happened in Camelot.

Once Upon A Time 5x03 'Siege Perilous' Review

So this week I decided to test myself by waiting until the episode aired on UK Netflix to see if I could avoid spoilers. Surprisingly, I actually found out very little about the episode so it was a nice surprise! Of course, if you haven't seen the episode: spoilers ahead!!
Personally for me I think this was the best epsidoe of the season so far! I'm a huge Charming fan and I don't think we get enough of him outside of Snow (as much as I love her and love them together!) So it was really nice to see him having another episode for himself.
There was a lot of interesting stuff in this episode, so there's a lot to talk about! They won't be in the order of the episode I'm afraid, just the order I remember them in haha.
Firstly: Arthur. I want from being skeptical to liking him to absolutely hating him in the space of this episode! I was a little suspicious of him from the previous 2 episodes but I hadn't seen enough and then in this episode, he just did so many despicable things that I just really dislike him now (I think the actor is great though and he's a very interesting character. I don't think we're supposed to like him at this point). Especially when Lancelot (!!!!) showed up to tell Snow that Arthur is a villain. I don't know how Lancelot is alive and I hope they'll have a good explanation for that but I'm super excited to see more of Arthur. That poor Gilf guy (I believe that's his name) at the end there though!
Okay moving on from that, I just quickly wanted to mention Zelena. Now, I hate Zelena (as I believe we are supposed to) and I really dislike this baby plot (the fact that Robin himself has said twice now that it is not what he wanted makes me very uncomfortable) but I actually felt kind of sorry for her?!? And Regina was there talking about how many second chances Zelena has had and how she can't paint herself as the victim. I think that's a little unfair coming from Regina; I'm pretty sure she's on her second second second second second chance at this point (this is not trying to be hateful towards Regina; I'm just stating that she has had many second chances to get things right). Zelena is under the impression that the baby will be the only person to truly love her and that's just kind of sad. As much as I do not want her to be a mother, I do feel kinda bad for her. Which is something I never thought I'd say!
Third thing I also would like to mention is the shipping. Now I personally only ship one canon ship at this moment in time and that is Snowing but I'm taking my shipper goggles off to briefly mention Captain Swan and Outlaw Queen. Outlaw Queen is a quick thing since there wasn't too much of them in this episode. I feel like Robin should be able to tell her that he is happy that he is having a baby just not happy it's with Zelena. It's not that hard to comprehend but I do understand that it is indeed complicated. I also personally don't like the idea of Regina raising Zelena's baby buti also want Robin to be involved in the child's life so it gets a little confusing there too. Also just because I personally don't ship them doesn't mean I can't see the appeal. I'm not hating on any ship here, I'm just giving my opinion as objectively as I can.
Moving onto Captain Swan. Now I also don't ship them but if I did, I think I would be a little upset right now. Hook is there saying he doesn't love Emma. I know it is because she is the Dark One and he just can't deal with it. I get it completely. I just think it's a little harsh to go from loving someone to not loving them (although of course it can be argued that he does still love her, just not as the Dark One). So I hope you Captain Swan shippers out there aren't too disheartened by that whole thing. She also did kinda trick him too and keeps playing games. I'm super happy she woke up Rumple! I didn't think he'd be woken up this early in the deasobm season. Poor Belle not knowing where he is though. I do have to wonder if turning him into a hero will work. I'm intrigued at how a Dark One can make someone good so I'm interested to see how that will turn out.
Just coming back to Charming again since it was his ccentric. I thought he was awesome and productive going after the Toadstool. And he looked so adorable holding baby Neal! I don't think Arthur actually wanted him at the Round Table since he lied to him, but even so, I was very proud of him for getting the most prestigious seat! Charming is full of self-doubt and we saw that in this episode (he even mentioned it himself himself in Camelot and Storybrooke) so it's always great to see him achieve something great.
I think that's all for this episode. Definitely the best of this season so far in my opinion! Definitely looking forward to see what direction they take this in!

Once Upon A Time 5x02 "The Price" Review

Okay so the episode doesn't air in the UK until Netflix uploads it on Wednesday but as always I can't wait that long so SPOILERS AHEAD.

The Price:
Since this is a review, I will try my best to take my shipping goggles off and not be negative towards any of my anti ships so if you feel like I missed a part of the episode out, that might be why.
This episode was better than the season premiere in my opinion. Still a little slow for the beginning of a season. I just feel like not a lot has happened. I don't know if I'm just being overly critical, but that's just how I feel about this season so far.
That being said, I do love the Dark Swan. I think Jennifer Morrison does an ace job of being dark. Not sure who's house that is she stole and how there is a random cave thing going on in there but I'll go with it. I'm used to things being weird on this show at this point. I appreciate seeing that Dark One Rumple is inside Emma's head. I like learning new things about the Dark One and it does make me feel more sympathy for Rumple since he clearly had to go through this too and he was more easily manipulated or influenced than Emma. I'm curious to know why Emma erased their memories (other than plot convenience) so o guess that's one way to keep this whole memory loss thing mildly interesting (I'm sorry, but I can't get behind the repeated plot)
Anyway... I don't trust anyone from Camelot. First there was whatshisface who is now dead. But Arthur and Guinevere were acting shady as heck. Like legit the first thing she asks him in Storybrooke is where Excalibur is?! Priorities.
Anyway the main part of this episode revolved around Regina. Now, I'm not the biggest fan of Regina to be completely honest. I personally think her redemption was extremely rushed and I don't believe that people would forgive her so quickly after everything. I do believe in second chances in certain cases but Snow gave her so many chances in the Enchanted Forest and she broke them again and again so I don't see why she deserves another one. Therefore, I do not like the idea of her being the Saviour. If anyone was to be the Saviour, it should be Henry. I realise that he's the Author so that might rule him out but he is the purest out of everyone plus he has True Love with Emma (obviously not a romantic love, but Emma broke the curse with TLK on Henry.) So it would make sense.
That being said, I appreciate that Regina is trying. I don't like it, but since I watch the show and this is the direction they're taking it, at least she is trying. I liked that all of them (Regina, Snow, Charming and Leroy) defeating the Fury together. Snow is a cutie. Although for the woman who was so determined to have another baby, leaves baby Neal at practically every chance she gets, but let's not go there.
There was a worrying lack of Zelena in this episode. I'm also not a big fan of hers (although I think that's kinda the point where she's concerned). Me and my Twitter friend have a couple of theories floating around especially because when they got back from Camelot, she was covering her wrist so we couldn't tell if she was wearing her magic restricting bracelet. Will be interesting to learn if she's involved with anything (or she could just be in the asylum but you never know!)
I like Henry having a crush! So cute! He's so grown up (it actually makes me feel so old seeing pictures and whatnot of season one) although I'm mildly concerned that she also might be part of the shady Camelot crew and I would be upset to see Henry get hurt, but we shall see!
To summarize: these last two episodes whilst being a little bit of a slow start have still been pretty interesting and I am definitely excited to see more Dark One Emma!

I don't have a title for this

In case you haven't guessed, I think I'm abandoning the OUAT Challenge. I couldn't keep up with it on a day to day basis and I think squeezing multiple days into one post just looks messy. So sorry about that. I think I'll just stick to things I can actually keep up with!
I'm going to visit a friend at her uni house today which is a two hour train journey from my uni area! I'm excited cause I haven't seen her for a few months :) but I do worry far too much for my own good and am worried about what to wear and how much make up to put on. I know it doesn't matter realistically but like I want to feel good about myself.

Once Upon A Time Season 5 Premiere Review

Okay so now that 5x01 is on UK Netflix, I feel like it's appropriate to share my thoughts. If you haven't seen the episode then SPOILERS AHEAD!! I did watch the episode yesterday online because I can't wait 3 days after it airs in America as a) I'm too impatient and b) I would see far too many spoilers.
The only things I knew before watching the episode were: Merida would be in it, Emma would be 'taught' by Rumple and of course, that Camelot was going to be a big deal this season.
The episode in itself wasn't bad, but it wasn't exactly great either. For a season premiere, I have to say, probably one of the, if not the weakest season premiere. That said, there were some things that I liked. I enjoyed the end. I thought the last few minutes were probably the best part. Although the cliffhanger was Emma saying 'I'm the Dark One' like yeah, we knew that already. I'm incredibly pissed off at the recycled storylines of a time jump (even if it is only six weeks again) and memory loss (Charming: "our memories are gone" Snow: "again?" Me: *rolls eyes*) I really don't think we need more time jumps and memory loss. Yes, it was cool to see the transition of Emma not giving into the darkness to Emma being full on Dark One. But other than that, I really don't think there was a need.
As well as this, I did like Merida. I thought she was very accurate to the Disney (Pixar) version and I really loved her accent. But was she really necessary? I don't know how many episodes she's going to be in so maybe she'll have a bit more of a storyline later on but in this episode it could have been literally anyone and the episode would have been the same. We shall see if she plays a bigger part.
I quite liked the Camelot Bros at the beginning. So nice to see Lancelot again! I'm mildly suspicious of Arthur. And I actually laughed when the dagger was part of Excalibur. I'm sorry, but I'm pretty sure that would have been mentioned.
Seeing tiny Emma watching Sword in the Stone was cute. Not sure why she stole an Apollo bar other than the writers being like 'look, we worked on Lost' but sure, I'll go with it. The creepy guy who was like 'don't take Excalibur" was well creepy. Kinda wanna see more of him or some kind of explanation of him.
Don't get me started on the portal (yay look, a new way to travel between worlds. Isn't that supposed to be hard?!) Or Zelena (she's literally insane.)
I know this sounds more negative than positive but I did still like the episode. I just feel like after 5 seasons, they could be doing better. I love the show, it's one of my favourite shows of all time and I'm hugely into the fandom (writing fic, live tweeting, listening & being part of a Once podcast chatroom, hardcore reblogging on tumblr etc) so I feel like I can criticise the show because I do love it so much.
Anyway, the episode was interesting and I am looking forward to season 5, I just hope that they pick up the pace a bit more.

Once Upon A Time Challenge Days 7-9

Ahh sorry for slacking on this again. Uni starts next week so I've been preparing for that and forgot to update! So there will be 3 days worth in this one post (I know it's after midnight so it's also technically day 10 but I will do that one later)

Day 7 - favourite action/intense moment
Ahh okay so I'm a huuuge fan of Neal (still crying) so my favourite intense moment involves him. In the S2 finale when he was falling through the portal and Emma was holding onto him and he was telling her to let go. Omg it was tragic and beautiful and I was crying. And seeing him near the end of the episode and knowing he wasn't actually dead made me so excited for season 3.

Day 8 - favourite location
The Enchanted Forest. Just because it's so pretty (minus the obvious green screen and cgi stuff) I mean I love Storybrooke too but the Enchanted Forest is just nicer to look at.

Day 9 - best dressed
This depends on where we are. Evil Queen Regina has some amazingly stunning outfits but I hate her Storybrooke wardrobe. Belle's Storybrooke wardrobe is so so cute, like I would love to wear her clothes (minus her Lacey stint). I'm not sure male wise though? Maybe Charming cause he looks handsome in everything haha. Ii also really really loved Ingrid's white dress. But no, Evil Queen Regina gets this one!

Once Upon A Time Challenge - Day 6

Favourite Romantic Moment
Okay so my all time favourite ship on the show I'm not actaully going to mention because I think that'll come up later, so this one is actually going to a couple that I ship not so hardcore and that's Snowing. I do love them but they've done a lot of problematic stuff lately that makes me not ship them as much hence the less hardcore shipping. Ginny and Josh are great together and I love the fact that it brought a real life love story between them. But anyway, Snowing are pretty much the shows OTP in hat they'll never separate them or anything like that so they have a lot of lovely moments together. But my all time personal favourite is from way back in season one when they first met and seeing them falling for each other. I loved their banter with each other and Snow being uber sassy. Charming trapping Snow in a net reminded me of my all time favourite ever OTP (if you watched LOST, my OTP is Jate and they got caught in a net together) so I appreciated that haha. The fact that they went back for each other because 'it was the honourable thing to do' was so cute and amusing. And then both of their faces when Snow put that ring on was just the start of knowing these two belong together and that's what I really love about them. They are true loves and soul mates. I just hope that they're better written in S5...

Once Upon A Time Challenge - Day 4 and 5

So I missed yesterday cause I was at work all day so I'm combining day 4 and 5 tohether together!

Day 4 - favourite character with magical qualities
Okay so not necessarily my favourite character but I'm going for Magical qualities that I like the most. I don't actually like light magic or fireballs. Rumples powers are a little vague as well. The magic I liked the most was actually Ingrid's. I know her magic was very similar to Elsa's so I could pick Elsa for this too, however, I feel like Ingrid's magic was prettier and she was definitely more powerful. The spell of shattered sight, despite ultimately being a pretty dumb spell, was gorgeous to look at. But if we're going by the actual character as opposed to the magic, then I would pick Elsa cause I thought she was pretty accurate to the film version and although I will always prefer Anna and am still confused as to why she couldn't control her powers that well on the show (they literally explained it at the end of Frozen guys, come on) I still thought she was pretty cool.

Day 5 - favourite villain
This one is a really easy one for me to choose. Pan. Everyday of the week. The Neverland arc was great (although I still think they could've done a whole season there instead of the stupid Oz storyline but whatever) and Pan really made that. Apart from being super attractive (heart eyes for Robbie Kay) his acting was amazing (probably what led to him getting cast in Hearoes Reborn - excitement!) Pan was mysterious and creepy as hell (and somewhat inappropriate 'Belle looks fertile" awkward.) I didn't like the twist with him because it was kinda predictable and I don't really like the idea that Pan is an adult but he was just so awesome. I loved it when he swapped bodies with Henry too. Pan caused a lot of havoc for our characters and some conflict and it really made 3A super interesting so he will always be my favourite.
Shout out to Cruella though cause she was batshit insane just for the sake of it which I LOVED.

Once Upon A Time Challenge Day 3

Favourite Fairy Tale Male
So surprisingly there are a lot less males on this show than females so it's kind of easier to choose from. I do love Charming to death buuuut I have to say my fave is still Rumple Bumple. I'm talking specifically fairytale land Rumple. Ever since season 1 he's been involved somehow with practically everyone's stories and I love how he seems to be the one that connects them altogether. Despite the fact he has done some really random OOC stuff lately (letting Emma go back to present time and drinking the memory potion?! R u srs?) He's still pretty damn awesome. The difference between pre-Dark One Rumple, D.O Rumple and every other persons he's had is a credit to Robert Carlyle's acting and what makes Rumple so interesting as a character.

Once Upon A Time Challenge Day 2

Favourite Fairytale Female

Ohhh there's so many ace ladies on this show and I love them a lot, but it really depends on what season it is.
Season 1 Snow White is absolutely perfect. I love her so much. She's a super badass but still has her soft side. The way Snow has been written after season 1 (and especially in Season 4) has made me dislike her a whole lot so I think that kinda rules her out (bring back season 1 Snow please)
In which case, I think I'm going to go for Ruby. I know she hasn't been around for a while (SPOILER: I'm so happy she's coming back for season 5) but her Fairy Tale persona was so cool. I love the twist they did with her character and that brought a lot of great story. Her friendship with Snow was really lovely too.
But like I said there are a lot of awesome ladies on this show and I'm excited to see more of them in the new season!

Once Upon A Time Challenge - Day 1

Favourite Episode:
Oh wow this is so hard. There's been 4 seasons of episodes and so many that I've enjoyed.
However, even after all this time, I still have to say the Pilot is my favourite. Even though rewatching it isn't as magical as the first time you watch it and yeah the green screen and CGI isn't great (that's pretty much true for the whole show though let's not lie) but the acting is great, seeing Henry being so small is just adorable, the costumes are stunning and it's the episode that got me into the show in the first place!

Once Upon A Time

Hey. So Once Upon A Time is pretty much my favourite show, my favourite show ever still remains as LOST, but OUAT is one that I've been active in the fandom and completely obsessed with since day one.
So I figured why not do a 30 day challenge?! What with season 5 round the corner, some of these opinions might change haha but I still think it'll be fun.
I know this challenge is not the more popular one, but that one (it's the blue one if you know what I'm talking about) I've already taken part in on my tumblr (askforavocado) agesssss ago so I thought it would be best to do a different one.
I hope you guys like my thoughts and feelings on the show! And bring on season 5 ;)

I hate unpacking

I thought packing all my stuff to go away was bad, but unpacking is like 10 times worse. There's so much stuff. Also my bed sheets were washed but not dried properly and I need to rewash them. My room here is tiny. It's a box room, but I don't mind it being so small. I actually quite like it. The only problem with that is because I have so much stuff, my tiny room looks like a dump.
And because my bed has no sheets on it, I'm sleeping in my boyfriend's bed with him. Which means usually watching Netflix (I'm actually enjoying Fairy Tail a lot more than I thought I would!) Or watching him play his Xbox or playing on my 3DS. I did actually have a go on his Xbox yesterday and played a bit of Minecraft for the first time ever. I've watched it being played before, but actually playing it. Well, it was pretty fun. I was only on creative mode cause I wanted to create a house and I made a massive one out of diamond and glass so it pretty much just looks like a glorified greenhouse. But since I was playing his Xbox, Joe played my 3DS and was playing Animal Crossing New Leaf which was pretty amusing cause it's not his kinda game at all. (I'm super excited for Happy Home Designer by the way!)
Today we have a lot of stuff to do (it's so much easier to get stuff done now that Joe has a car!) and unpacking is right at the bottom of my list because I'm really dreading it.

Moving Away

So today I was packing to move back to Worcester for my final year of University (!!!) I can't believe I'm already in my last year. It doesn't seem like first year was that long ago. I'm super nervous because third year is such a big deal. I had a weird first year in that I had a gap from education and then went to uni and that meant getting back into the swing of things and if I'm completely honest, I didn't actually do great in my first year (but that's okay because it doesn't count towards my final grade anyway). Second year was a lot better for me grades wise. I actually did a lot better than I thought I would and I get to bring a couple of my best grades from second year into third year which theoretically should make third year less stressful but since dissertations are a thing, I'm not really counting on that haha. I struggled with moving in with the boyfriend (and 3 others) because I found it quite hard to balance all my time and so we ended up arguing a bit. But we figured everything out and have been really great for a long time. Sometimes we still row and I get upset when we do. Like I actually can't have a row without crying. It's a problem. But we rarely row any ,ore and mostly just laugh and joke with each other and have fun, so all is good there.
My favourite lecturer has left though which makes me really sad because he was so great. He's what made my second year so good because both of my favourite modules were taught by him and I really wanted him to be my dissertation supervisor. Not that we get to pick those anyway and I'm still stuck on what to do for it so I'm kind of panicking.
But anyway, when I was packing today, I did not know how much stuff I owned! It's so crazy! I actually cannot moan ever again about not having enough clothes because seriously, I have so much. I have a suitcase, a backpack and 2 bi bags just of clothes and shoes. And then I'm bringing my sewing machine and all of my sewing stuff AND my mom is taking me on a food shop so I have food in the house as well so unpacking is gonna be not fun.
But I'm really excited to be finishing up at uni. So scary. I graduate in just over a year (November 2016). I still have to do my PGCE and I still don't know whether I'll do that in Worcester or not but I think I probably will because I like Worcester a lot. It's a nice place to live and the school I worked in this year was so nice and if all the schools are like that, I would happily teach there!
So yeah. An exciting and scary time coming up in my life and I don't know how well I will deal with third year stress but I will try my best and hopefully my modules will be interesting enough to keep me motivated as well!
Just send me lots of luck please guys cause I think I'm gonna need it!!

I suck at make up

Okay. So I guess I'm pretty girly when it comes to most things (I wear dresses a lot, I own a lot of things that are pink etc) but I've never really been big on make up. Until recently. I've always just worn eye liner and mascara. Now I will wear foundation, eyeliner, mascara (after curling eyelashes because omg eyelash curlers are a God send) blusher and fill in my eyebrows with a pencil. And even that is really not a lot. And I feel like I'm still not happy with my progress of trying to look nicer.
I don't want to rely on make up all the time. I'm not a confident person (I'm ridiculously insecure) but I am still one of those people who could leave the house with just mascara on or whatever. But I like the way make up enhances the nice parts of my face that I like. I like how I can emphasise my eyes because they are my favourite feature.
But at the same time, I'm still really bad at make up. I'm like a mega beginner. I don't know what I'm doing, I don't know what stuff I need to buy. I feel like for a 21 year old, that might be considered a bit tragic. I do look at tutorials but everything seems to have like 1000 products and brushes and I really just can't afford that.
I guess I will keep practicing with what I have and just see if I can get better as time goes on. That's pretty much all I can do for now.

Sims 4

So I've been a fan of the Sims for a while but I haven't played a Sims game for a long time.
I was super addicted to Sims 2 (I had it on 3 separate platforms; PC, GameCube and DS) and that was when I had to share a computer with the rest of my family, but I still managed to sink a good few hours into it! Sadly I missed out on Sims 3 due to having a Mac (I'm pretty sure you can get it on Mac now though?) and also again not having my own laptop.
However, now I do have my own laptop. And Sims 4 came out. And I know it's been out for ages now but I couldn't afford to buy it at the time of release and then I kind of forgot about Sims for a while (other than occasionally playing Sims Freeplay).
Recently though, I've been watching Kawaii Simmer on YouTube doing her 100 baby challenge (I'm up to part 27 of 50) and it's got me really into a Sims mood! Now that I have my own laptop, I feel as though I would play it a lot more. The customisation of Sims has always been the favourite part for me and the CAS on Sims 4 looks amazing! I've never really been great at building houses on the Sims but with Sims 4, it does look like it could be simple to create a nice looking house (especially using money cheats haha).
But I'm still unsure whether to buy it or not, mostly just because of funds (poor student life) so I might consider it if the price goes down or potentially treat myself for my birthday next month!
If I do end up buying it, I will post a review up on here :)

Welcome!

So I guess I made a blog?! I don't really know what I will post on here as of yet. I'm thinking reactions to TV shows and maybe some challenges as well! Or I guess whatever comes into my head.
I hope everyone likes reading my thoughts and if not, then that's fine too!
